Pour rappel, le kintsugi [ki.n.tsougui] est une technique qui consiste à réparer des objets cassés, avec de la laque, puis recouvrir cette dernière d'or.
Cette semaine s'est déroulée l'étape cruciale de l'application de la poudre d'or, avant de faire sécher le tout pendant deux à trois jours.
Ça fait quand même un petit quelque chose d'avoir à manipuler ce métal précieux, mais on y pense pas lorsqu'on le fait, car il faut rester concentrée, par contre avant et après j'y pense et ça fait plaisir de pouvoir travailler avec cette jolie matière et en même temps sa préciosité impose une rigueur de travail, qui reste constante lorsque l'on travaille la laque.
Dans le même temps je découpe des ronds de nacre, pour ensuite pouvoir les coller sur ma petite boîte noire. Il y a différents diamètres et différentes couleurs.

This week saw the crucial stage of applying the gold powder, before drying for two or three days.
It's a bit of a thrill to have to handle this precious metal, but you don't think about it when you're doing it, because you have to stay concentrated. But before and after, I do think about it, and it's a pleasure to be able to work with this beautiful material, while at the same time its preciousness imposes a rigorous approach to the work, which remains constant when you're working with lacquer.
At the same time, I'm cutting out mother-of-pearl circles so that I can glue them onto my little black box. There are different diameters and different colours.

金継ぎとは、割れたものを漆で補修し、その上に金をかぶせる技法である。
今週は、金粉を塗り、2〜3日かけて乾燥させるという重要な段階があった。
この貴重な金属を扱わなければならないのは少しスリルがあるが、集中していなければならないので、やっているときは何も考えない。 しかし、その前後には考える。この美しい素材を扱うことができる喜びを感じると同時に、その貴重さゆえに、漆を扱っているときと変わらない厳しさがある。
同時に、私は小さな黒い箱に接着できるように真珠層を切り出している。直径も色も違う。
